What we collect and why

1. Searching for tyres

In a search by registration, the registration and the postcode you enter are used to identify the tyre sizes your car needs and the centres near your postcode. It is our fulfilment partner, Tyres.co.uk, that answers the lookup, since it holds the vehicle and centre data; nothing connects that search to who you are, and this site holds nothing of it beyond routine server logs. Entering a tyre size instead involves no personal details, not even a postcode.

2. The centre finder

The postcode finder used to sort the centres uses postcodes.io, a public postcode service, to turn your postcode into coordinates, so the centres around Leeds can be ordered by how far away they are. What you type there is not saved anywhere on this site; it is used once and dropped.

3. Maps and weather

Maps on this site are drawn with OpenStreetMap tiles, pulled by your browser from openstreetmap.org, so openstreetmap.org sees your IP address, as any site you load does. The forecast on the seasonal pages is pulled by our own server from the Met Office, falling back to MET Norway, for Leeds at large; neither service receives anything about you.

4. Cookies and logs

There are no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies on TyresLeeds.uk, and no tracking script runs on it, whether you are pricing tyres or reading about Leeds's weather. TyresLeeds.uk is hosted by Vercel, and it keeps the standard short-lived logs of IP address, browser type and the pages requested to keep the site secure and running, and not to work out who you are.

5. When you buy

At the point you press buy, you leave this site to Tyres.co.uk, our fulfilment partner, and the order completes there. The details an order needs, name, address, payment, vehicle and the fitting booking, are collected and processed by Tyres.co.uk under Tyres.co.uk's own privacy policy, which covers how it uses that information and how you exercise your rights.

6. Reviews

The centre reviews you see here were left by verified buyers and reach us through Tyres.co.uk, showing a first name and an initial only. TyresLeeds.uk gathers no reviews of its own, on any page; the site only displays what Tyres.co.uk supplies.

7. Your rights and contact

UK data protection law says you can see the personal data held about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Since TyresLeeds.uk holds next to nothing about you, what you are asking about is probably an order, which Tyres.co.uk holds; whichever it is, begin with the contact page.
